Come pray with me…
God, tonight I lift up the woman learning forgiveness— not to excuse what happened, but to free herself from what held her. The woman who knows she needs to forgive but isn’t sure how— or if she is ready.
Lord, remind her that forgiveness is not a gift to the person who hurt her— it is a gift to herself. It is the moment she decides that what they did will no longer have permission to control how she feels, thinks, or lives.
Give her the grace to forgive without reconciling. To release without returning. To let go without pretending it didn’t happen.
God, carry what she cannot yet release. Hold what she is still working through. And when she is ready— in Your time, not hers— let forgiveness come as relief, not surrender.
She is working toward freedom. She is letting go. She is becoming her. Amen.
